Thanks to overwhelming response from teachers, the NSS ELT seminar 'Meeting the challenges of the NSS English curriculum' held on 21 June 2008 was proved to be a success. Our guest speakers Ms Jannie Tsang and Ms Jolanta Karczewski shared with us practical tips on setting out the NSS English timetable and effective ways to help students learn English through electives. The seminar also gave a brief report on the survey on how students prepare for the HKCEE 2008 and analyzed the 2008 HKCEE. Here are some snapshots of the day:

The ELT seminar 'Your winning edge for the real exam' was held on 12 April 2008 and received keen support from teachers. Our guest speakers Ms Christine Szeto and Mr Mathew Wong, exam markers of the English papers for the 2007 HKCEE, shared with us some valuable teaching tips on helping students improve their performance in the exam. The seminar also introduced teachers to our new editions of Success in the HKCEE and Exam Skills Now, the most complete and up-to-date exam practice and skills series for the real exam. Partners for English Language Teaching' on 27 November 2007 has been

Objectives
The Oxford Mini Olympics Promotion Competition aims to increase primary
students' creativity, confidence and interest in English by providing
an opportunity for them to apply their writing and speaking skills to
the promotion of a school mini Olympics. The approaching 2008 Beijing
Olympic Games, currently generating strong interest locally, will appeal
to and inspire students who enter the competition.
