What's a genre?

A genre is a type of text with features you can recognize.

There are lots of genres, or types, of text.

Adventure
Adventure stories are stories about unusual, exciting or dangerous experiences, journeys or events. These contain lots of action and excitement. Browse the adventure stories in the HKEAA recommended list.

Animation
Animations are made using computer-generated characters and action instead of real people and places. Browse the animations in the HKEAA recommended list.

Autobiography

Classics
