New Progress was designed with standards-referenced assessment (SRA) in mind.

In every unit of New Progress, the self assessment page allows students to see which skill(s) and question type(s) they have mastered and which they need to work on. This meaningful assessment empowers students for self-improvement and gives them the confidence to do the HKCEE.

Students can then go to the online question bank for further targeted practice.
