School-based assessment
will form 15% of the total grade in the proposed 2007 HKCEE.
After 2008, the new 3 + 3 curriculum and the proposed Hong
Kong Diploma of Secondary Education will also follow this
pattern.
Students will need to read relatively
unaided and be able to comment and reflect on the experience
of reading in preparation for oral assessment. Your junior
secondary students will be the first to face this challenge.
