Progressive English Readers (OPER) employ the
latest methods of text analysis, using specially designed
software, to ensure that readability is carefully controlled.
OPER stories are easy for the average student at any given
level to read. Students become accustomed to a natural, flowing
style of reading. The need to interrupt their enjoyment of
the story to look up difficult words or grammatical forms
is minimized by the intelligent use of contextual clues and
illustrations. Footnotes and other distractions are also eliminated.
Students experience reading in its purest form, but always
at a level they can manage.
