Business Development Assistant Manager/Executive Editor (contract-base) ELT Executive/ELT Researcher for China market (HK-based) Oxford Path Sales Executive
We are both a department of the University of Oxford and a major international publishing organization with a significant presence in Hong Kong. We have the following vacancy:
Business Development Assistant Manager/Executive
Responsibilities:
  • Report to the Senior Business Development Manager;
  • Conduct research, identify and develop new market / business opportunities;
  • Coordinate and liaise with clients on contract terms and contract administration;
  • Handle enquiry and follow up projects with clients and internal parties;
  • Work closely with marketing team to ensure successful launch of marketing programs
Requirements:
  • University graduate;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales/Marketing or Business Development (applicants with less experience will be considered as Business Development Executive);
  • Independent, strong interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Self-motivated, outgoing and passionate;
  • Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin is a must;
  • Frequent traveling is required;
Editor (contract-base)
Core responsibilities:
  • Design and develop English Language Teaching (ELT) publications of the highest possible quality
  • Educational research, desk editing, proofreading, and general editorial duties
  • Liaise with authors, freelance contributors, teachers and academic consultants
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams in market research, promotion, and sales activities
  • Collaborate with design, production, and technical terms on publishing and digital/multimedia productions
Successful applicants will have the following attributes:
  • Degree in English language, Education or related disciplines
  • At least 4-5 years’ working experience in the education sector and familiar with the school environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written Chinese and English
  • Fluency in Putonghua, knowledge of Mainland China’s educational market and willingness to travel to Mainland China are a definite advantage
  • A positive and proactive working attitude
  • A committed team player who is able to work under pressure
  • Strong market sense, analytical skills, communication skills, and organizational skills
  • Good judgement and creativity on artistic and operational user experience
  • Patient with a good eye for detail
ELT Executive/ELT Researcher for China market (HK-based)
Responsibilities:
  • Review and develop English Language Teaching (ELT) course materials for young children in China
  • Carry out content research and adaptation
  • Visit learning centres in China and carry out class observation
  • Write marketing literature targeting China market when necessary
Requirements:
  • Degree holder in English, Applied Linguistics or Education
  • 3 to 5 years’ English language teaching experience or experience in the field of education preferably in China
  • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant ELT Executive
  • Educational literature writing or editing experience in particular for China market is an advantage
  • Familiar with the curriculum in China or knowledge of mainland China’s educational market
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
  • A positive and proactive attitude
Oxford Path Sales Executive
Responsibilities:
  • Execute effective selling strategies to achieve sales target
  • Provide one-to-one selling or consultation to prospects
  • Actively participate in company organized roadshows, exhibition and seminars
  • Provide assistance in customer activities and events
  • Deliver excellent post selling customer service to users
Requirements:
  • Form 7 or diploma above
  • Proactive, self-motivated and good personality
  • Fluent Cantonese and English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ready for weekend work and flexible working hours
  • Knowledge of child development would be an added value
  • Experience in personal selling and baby/child products are preferred
