We are both a department of the University of Oxford and a major international publishing organization with a significant presence in Hong Kong. We have the following vacancies:
Information Security Manager Asia Pacific
About the Role
The incumbent will operate as part of the Global Information Security team responsible for providing Information Security expertise across the Asia Pacific region. The incumbent will be working effectively with other functions such as legal, audit and technical support to provide authoritative advice and guidance on the security control requirements per regulatory requirements and best practice. The incumbent will report to the Information Security and Risk Manager/Group IT with a matrix reporting to Associate Director, Technology & Implementation, Asia Education. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Provide professional advice to key stakeholders on the selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of information security controls and management across Asia Pacific region to ensure assets are adequately protected at all times and are complied with legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Identify risks to systems/information across OUP by carrying out information security risk assessments;
  • Provide summary reports to identify risk areas/feedback and present findings to key stakeholders with recommendations for improvements to facilitate appropriate controls to be put in place. Enforce changes when necessary;
  • Develop, implement and audit security processes and procedures across OUP to eliminate or minimise risks to the business;
  • Raise awareness across OUP of the importance of information security and provide information and guidelines to increase colleagues’ security knowledge and sensitive in order to ensure the protection of Company’s data; and
  • Develop appropriate policies and standards
About You
To be successful in this role you are likely to have:
  • Professional certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or other information security credentials with at least 3 years relevant working experience;
  • Strong working knowledge of information security standards and best practice such as ISO 2701;
  • A good understanding on corporate data protection and/or privacy act. Knowledge of compliance requirements for PCI DSS and the UK Data Protection Act is preferred;
  • Strong information security consultancy experience in a commercial environment, with experience in performing information security risk assessments and providing technical advice;
  • Experience in developing and delivering information security training and awareness programmes;
  • In-depth knowledge of global technological trends and developments in information security and risk management;
  • Strong communication and influencing skills;
  • Self –starter with the ability to work on own initiative; and
  • Ability to build relationships at all level.

Marketing and Communications Manager
Main Responsibilities:
  • Direct reporting to Marketing Director
  • Leading the Marketing Team to devise comprehensive communication strategies and plans to support key marketing initiatives to drive growth in both local and overseas markets
  • Proactively responding to current market situation, reviewing and refining business development plans and marketing strategies in the learning centre segment
  • Bringing fresh marketing communications ideas that support the growth of the business
  • Liaising closely with the company’s regional and global teams
  • Assisting the Marketing Director to oversee the P&L and operational aspects of business targeting the learning centre segment in Hong Kong
  • Working closely with different stakeholders to achieve annual budgets and targets
  • 10 years of experience in public relations and/or marketing communications preferably gained in a PR agency or international company , at least 5 years in managerial capacity
  • Strong cross-functional and presentation skills with the ability to influence across all levels and functions of the organization
  • Excellent communicator, both external and internal
  • Good negotiation skills and able to translate complex concepts into simple and intuitive communications
  • Flexible and result-oriented
  • An inspiring leader who can motivate, coach and supervise subordinates
  • Has an outgoing personality, proactive and dynamic
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications or related disciplines
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, both spoken and written
  • Knowledge of local education system would be an advantage
Marketing Executive (Account Servicing)
  • Responsible for business development and centre management in the learning centre segment
  • Consolidating, reviewing and analyzing client database apart from planning related marketing strategies
  • Providing account servicing to learning centres
  • Planning and organizing marketing activities which target learning centres and parents in local market
  • Coordinating and organizing events ranging from workshops to exhibitions
  • Liaising with potential parties for joint promotion pitching
  • Outgoing, proactive and dynamic
  • 3 years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably education-related (applicants with less experience will be considered as Assistant Marketing Executive)
  • A degree in marketing or related disciplines
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent English, Cantonese and Putonghua, both spoken and written
  • A good team player and ready for weekend work
