Our seminar on 12 November featured several guest speakers whose interactive presentations gave teachers an insight into the rationale behind the implementation of SBA. Irene Hui, an SBA teacher trainer, spoke about her involvement in the Hong Kong University SBA trialling project. Following her experience as an SBA teacher trainer, Irene also talked about her views of the teacher's role in the SBA process. Next, Mark Wilkins talked about how his extensive experience of SBA helped him write his book, the SBA Kit. A seasoned teacher, Mark spoke about the practical implications of SBA on teaching. Finally, OUP's ELT Consultant, Jenny Lim, presented the free sample of the SBA Kit. She showed how it will support teachers in the classroom and provide a complete solution to their Form 4 group interaction assessment needs.
