User Guide

  1. Log in to PowerGen.
  2. Select a generator to use.
  3. Enter key information such as the topic and learning objectives.
  4. Select suitable options from the dropdown menus such as the target level and the required output.
  5. Use ‘Cartridge’ to add textbook content from Oxford University Press for AI reference.
  6. Click ‘Generate’ and wait for the output.
  7. Preview the output. If satisfied, choose a preferred format to export the content.
  8. If revisions are needed, enter your requirements and click ‘Refine’. Repeat as needed until the results meet your expectations.

  1. What service plans are available for PowerGen?

    PowerGen is an AI-powered platform designed to support educators and education teams by streamlining the creation of teaching resources, including lesson plans, quizzes, worksheets and PowerPoint slides. Schools can choose from the Basic Plan and the Top-up Plan to meet their needs.

  2. Can I upgrade or change my service plan during the subscription period?

    Yes. Schools may purchase additional Top-up Plan generations at any time during the subscription period. Please note that all purchased Top-up generations are valid until the end of the school year (end July).

  3. What happens to the remaining generations if my service plan is renewed before it expires?

    Regardless of the date of purchase, both Basic Plan and Top-up Plan generations expire at the end of the school year (end July).

  4. Can purchased Top-up Plan generations be refunded?

    No. All purchased Top-up Plan generations are non-refundable.

  1. How many generations are included in the Top-up Plan?

    There are four Top-up Plan tiers available:

    • 5,000 generations
    • 15,000 generations
    • 30,000 generations
    • 50,000 generations

     

  2. How is the generation quota for the Basic Plan calculated?

    Each eligible user receives 50 generations per month for each valid entitlement until the end of the school year (end July). Please note that unused monthly generations cannot be carried forward to the next month.

  3. How is the generation quota for the Top-up Plan calculated?

    The generations under the Top-up Plan are purchased by the school and shared among designated teachers. These generations remain available from the date of purchase until the end of the school year (end July).

  4. What is the difference between Basic Plan generations and Top-up Plan generations?

    • Basic Plan generations
      - Each eligible user receives 50 generations per month for each valid entitlement.
      - The quota is reset each month.
    • Top-up Plan generations
      - Purchased by the school as an additional quota.
      - Shared among designated teachers.

     

  5. When is my Basic Plan generation quota reset?

    The Basic Plan generation quota is reset at 8 a.m. on the first day of each month.

  6. Is there a daily usage limit?

    Yes. The daily usage limit is 150 generations per user.

  7. If I have both Basic Plan and Top-up Plan generations, which generations are used first?

    Basic Plan generations are used first. Once your Basic Plan generations are used up, your Top-up Plan generations will be used for any further generations.

  8. What counts as one generation?

    This includes:

    • generating a new AI response
    • refining or regenerating an existing AI response
    • generating 5 slides (excluding the first and last slides) using PowerPoint Presentation Generator
    • 5 responses in Chat with Teacher AI

     

  9. Can unused generations be carried forward to the next month?

    • Basic Plan generations
      - Unused generations cannot be carried forward to the next month.
    • Top-up Plan generations

    Generation sharing applies only to the Top-up Plan. Eligible teachers who teach the same subject at the same school share the allocated Top-up Plan generations.

  4. Is there a limit to the number of Top-up Plans a school can purchase?

    No. Schools may purchase an unlimited number of Top-up Plans based on their needs.

  5. How can I check my remaining generation balance?

    After logging in to PowerGen, you can view your remaining generation balance above the list of generators.

  6. Is the generation balance updated and displayed in real time?

    Yes. The generation balance is updated and displayed in real time.

  7. Can unused Top-up Plan generations be transferred to another school account?

    No. Top-up Plan generations are non-transferable and can only be used within the school account which purchased them.
