User Guide

  1. Log in to PowerGen.
  2. Select a generator to use.
  3. Enter key information such as the topic and learning objectives.
  4. Select suitable options from the dropdown menus such as the target level and the curriculum.
  5. Use ‘Cartridge’ to add content from textbook content from Oxford University Press for AI reference.
  6. Click ‘Generate’ and wait for the output.
  7. Preview the output. If satisfied, choose a preferred format to export the content.
  8. If revisions are needed, enter your requirements and click ‘Refine’. Repeat as needed until the results meet your expectations.

  1. What service plans are available for PowerGen?

    A: PowerGen is an AI-powered platform designed to support educators and education teams by streamlining the creation of teaching resources, including lesson plans, quizzes, worksheets and PowerPoint slides. Schools can choose from the Basic Plan and the Top-up Plan to meet their needs.

  2. Can I upgrade or change my service plan during the subscription period?

    A: Yes. Schools may purchase additional Top-up Plan tokens at any time during the subscription period. Please note that all purchased Top-up tokens are valid until the end of the school year (end July).

  3. What happens to the remaining tokens if my service plan is renewed before it expires?

    A: Regardless of the date of purchase, both Basic Plan and Top-up Plan tokens expire at the end of the school year (end July).

  4. Can purchased Top-up Plan tokens be refunded?

    A: No. All purchased Top-up Plan tokens are non-refundable.

  1. How many tokens are included in the Top-up Plan?

    A: There are four Top-up Plan tiers available:

    • 5,000 tokens
    • 15,000 tokens
    • 30,000 tokens
    • 50,000 tokens

     

  2. How is the generation quota for the Basic Plan calculated?

    A: One token equals one generation. Each eligible user receives 50 tokens per month until the end of the school year (end July). Note: Unused monthly tokens cannot be carried forward to the next month.

  3. How is the generation quota for the Top-up Plan calculated?

    A: The generation tokens under the Top-up Plan are purchased by the school and shared among designated teachers. These tokens remain available from the date of purchase until the end of the school year (end July).

  4. What is the difference between Basic Plan tokens and Top-up Plan tokens?

    A:

    • Basic Plan tokens
      - Each eligible user receives 50 tokens per month.
      - The quota is reset each month.
    • Top-up Plan tokens
      - Purchased by the school as an additional quota.
      - Shared among designated teachers.

     

  5. When will my Basic Plan token quota be reset?

    A: The Basic Plan token quota is reset on the first day of each month.

  6. Is there a daily usage limit?

    A: Yes. The daily usage limit is 150 tokens per user.

  7. If I have both Basic Plan and Top-up Plan tokens, which tokens are used first?

    A: Basic Plan tokens are used first. Once your Basic Plan tokens are used up, your Top-up Plan tokens will be used for any further generations.

  8. What counts as one token?

    A: This includes:

    • generating a new AI response
    • refining or regenerating an existing AI response

     

  9. Can unused tokens be carried forward to the next month?

    A:

    • Basic Plan tokens
      - Unused tokens cannot be carried forward to the next month.
    • Top-up Plan tokens
      - Unused tokens remain valid until the end of the school year (end July).

    A: Token sharing applies only to the Top-up Plan. Eligible teachers who teach the same subject at the same school share the allocated Top-up Plan tokens

  4. Is there a limit to the number of Top-up Plans a school can purchase?

    A: No. Schools may purchase a limited number of Top-up Plans based on their needs.

  5. How can I check my remaining token balance?

    A: After logging in to PowerGen, you can view your remaining token balance above the list of generators.

  6. Is token balance displayed in real time?

    A: Yes. The token balance is updated and displayed in real time.

  7. Can unused Top-up Plan tokens be transferred to another school account?

    A: No. Top-up Plan tokens are non-transferable and can only be used within the school account which purchased them.

  3. Will I receive any notifications when my token quota is running low?
