Oxford University Press (China) Limited Launches PowerGen: AI-powered platform for Smarter Teaching
Oxford University Press (China) Limited (OUPC), in collaboration with Avallain announced the launch of AI Power Tools— PowerGen (AI智能工具——教學生成), designed to enhance teaching efficiency and simplify lesson preparation.
Since 1961, OUPC has provided trusted teaching resources while publishing a wide range of general titles and children’s books that accompany readers from early childhood through adulthood. Alongside its publishing portfolio, OUPC has also developed digital platforms such as the Oxford eActivity Platform (牛津互動平台), Oxford Exercise Platform(牛津網上練習平台), and Oxford Reading Planet (牛津閲讀星球), aiming to support teachers with comprehensive digital resources while providing students with a more interactive learning experience.
The launch of PowerGen reflects our continuous exploration of innovative approaches to teaching and learning. By combining Avallain’s AI toolkit designed for and refined by educators, TeacherMatic with OUPC’s decades of expertise in curriculum design and educational publishing, the platform delivers a comprehensive solution for educators. PowerGen enables teachers to generate high-quality, curriculum-aligned resources in seconds, supporting every stage of teaching—from lesson preparation and classroom instruction to post-class activities. It helps educators create lesson plans, worksheets, learning activities, and presentation slides with ease, improving overall teaching efficiency.
The platform also adapts to diverse student needs by allowing teachers to adjust content difficulty, making learning more personalized and inclusive. By simplifying tasks such as lesson planning, activity design, and assignment grading, PowerGen frees teachers to focus on classroom interaction and inspiring students’ curiosity.
Ms Nancy Yip, the Managing Director of Oxford University Press (China) remarked, “PowerGen reflects OUPC’s ongoing innovation in educational technology. By combining our publishing expertise with AI, we are pleased to provide teachers with tools that are more efficient, effective, and engaging.”
Looking ahead, we will continue to build on our strengths in publishing and digital solutions, enabling technology to support educational practice more effectively and working alongside educators and students to explore new possibilities in teaching and learning.
