Oxford University Press (China) Awarded Caring Company for Eighth Consecutive Year

Oxford University Press (China) Limited (OUPC) has been awarded the Caring Company Logo, presented by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) for the eighth consecutive year on 1 March 2024. This recognition celebrates OUPC’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to the community, employees, and the environment.

Driven by the mission of advancing knowledge and learning, OUPC actively supports various education-focused social service organizations. Since 2016, the Press has contributed through book donations, material aids, and long-term volunteer services. Employee-friendly measures are actively implemented in the office to care for all employees, including full-paid maternity and paternity leave, as well as flexible work hours. Regular on-job training, workshops, and surveys are conducted to cultivate employees' personal development and promote the importance of well-being, creating an ideal work environment. OUPC has always been committed to environmental protection, implementing multiple energy saving and waste reduction policies. These include waste sorting and recycling, adoption of renewable energy sources, and the establishment of long-term sustainable publishing goals.

OUPC will continue to support the development of social education services in the community so that readers in need have access to high-quality education, achieving the goal of promoting learning. The Press will keep promoting initiatives to care for its employees and embodying OUPC’s belief in environmental stewardship in day-to-day business operations, meeting society’s expectations for corporate social responsibility.
