A Resounding Success: Seminar on Chinese Language Teaching and Textbook Release for Primary Schools 

(12 December 2025) On 29 November, 2025, Oxford University Press (China) Limited (OUPC) hosted the Primary Chinese Language Teaching Seminar and Textbook Launch Event, where the latest primary Chinese language textbook《啟思樂在語文》, was officially unveiled. At the same time, we introduced our Oxford AI Platform, showcasing a brand-new teaching model that integrates textbooks with cutting-edge technology.

The textbook has been meticulously curated with works by esteemed authors and aligns with the latest Values Education Curriculum Framework and Curriculum Guide. After rigorous review and approval by the Education Bureau, it has been included in the recommended textbook list, providing comprehensive support for both educators and students. During the seminar, Dr. Wong Leung-wo,a distinguished educator, delivered an inspiring keynote, demonstrating how the new textbook can enliven classroom interaction. His creative use of songs and gestures illustrated how teachers can incorporate fun and engaging strategies into lessons, fostering dynamic learning experiences and stronger teacher-student interaction.

Beyond the textbook launch, the event also introduced OUP’s diverse suite of digital tools. These include the Oxford eActivity Platform, which enhances classroom interaction, and the Oxford Exercise Platform, which offers detailed analysis of student performance—reflecting OUP’s commitment to building a comprehensive digital resource hub for teaching and learning. A highlight of the event was the official debut of the Oxford Artificial Intelligence (AI) Platform. This cutting-edge tool is designed to meet the specific needs of educators, enabling them to generate diverse teaching materials that closely align with textbook content, offering comprehensive and flexible resources for instruction.

The seminar concluded with a keynote by Dr. Lee Hau-chung, a distinguished educator who shared the latest applications of AI in language education. Using the new platform as an example, he encouraged teachers to explore how AI can enhance teaching efficiency and open new possibilities for interactive learning.

With the launch of new learning materials and a diverse range of online platforms, we reaffirm our commitment to providing comprehensive resources that empower teachers and students to overcome the challenges of language teaching and learning.
