Editor, Asia Education

Job Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate manuscript delivery from authors to ensure timely submission of teaching resource materials for both print and digital products (e.g. Teacher’s Books, flashcards, online quizzes, coaching books) following specified schedules templates and requirements
  • Content/developmental editing of print/digital teaching resource manuscripts, ensuring quality of content and alignment with editorial guidelines, vocabulary requirements, syllabus documents, comprehension skills frameworks, etc.
  • Check quality and quantity of teaching activity ideas, quiz question types across level, ensuring balanced coverage of skills and a wide variety activity options
  • Copyediting and proofreading of final print/digital teaching resource manuscripts prior to handover to production
  • Liaise with design companies and printing divisions directly to ensure high quality of printed materials
  • Artwork creation- brief and coordinate delivery from vendors, and review artwork/layout and ensure it is to a high quality standard and conforms to specified requirements and templates
  • Audio content creation- compile scripts, edit audio files and work closely with production companies to ensure end product is developed to a high quality delivery and according to budget/schedule. Check all audio files and ensure correct content, naming, tagging, saving prior to handover to e-content team

Job Requirements:
  • University degree or above in Education, English or Literature

Executive Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide full support to the Managing Director to carry out the job effectively through clear diary management, comprehensive travel planning and meeting arrangement. 
  • Undertake all administrative tasks for the Managing Director to ensure the management office runs smoothly including preparation of documents and reports.
  • Participate in meetings per the Managing Director’s request. Follow up, track and manage progress of projects and tasks.  Provide summaries and red flags to Managing Director when necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

Solution Architect

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide pro-active technology solutioning support in the analysis, design, planning, and governance of programmes, projects and change initiatives.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement for the Press to benefit from the strategic application of technology.
  • Define technical requirement (NFR) and principles; Define guidelines and standards for Application Design and Development Cycle.
  • Lead and manage the development teams to ensure the code quality is up to enterprise requirements.

Job Requirements: 
  • Degree educated or equivalent in a computing based subject;
  • At least 7 years’ experience as an application architect and/or lead developer;
  • Extensive experience of full stack software development (either coder or architect)
  • Experience of writing coding standards and ensuring they are adhered to
  • Working knowledge of at least some of the following languages: Java, Ruby on Rails, JavaScript (Angular, React), Python
  • Familiarity with agile and lean methodologies would be beneficial

Technology Project Manager (12-month contract)

Purpose of the job:
To lead, manage and ensure successful end-to-end delivery of Technology projects or Technology work streams of business projects to agreed, time, cost and quality following a governance Change Framework (CF).
Job Responsibilities:
  • Project management of the design and build and release of the selected Technology solution 
    • Develop and monitor of the project scope and business objectives
    • Evaluate and select of the project’s delivery approach (e.g. agile, iterative or waterfall) depending on the solution, technology, target market maturity and the scale required.
    • Develop the business case, resource plan, project documentation and project plans
    • Develop schedules and work packages for the Technology project delivery team
    • Plan, control and drive the projects’ delivery; Produce and update project plans, scope and budget, including detailed resource and activity plans in order to deliver the agreed projects to specification, within time and budget, and to the agreed level of quality.
    • Manage project finance and budgets (forecasts, actual Vs planned etc).
    • Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies 
  • Ensure quality assurance mechanisms are in place so that products / deliverables adhere to agreed requirements. Ensures that Technology solution requirements are defined, delivered and monitored following global Technology standards, architectures, and governance.
  • Supports benefits realisation and achievement of target business outcomes
  • Manage 3rd party suppliers and resources in line with agreed ways of working and contracts and SLA’s
  • Establish and maintains proactive, comprehensive stakeholder management and stakeholder communications
  • Builds high performing, collaborative project teams. Co-ordinates work done by different people and management of virtual teams.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery in line with Change Delivery Framework and Technology governance.

  Job Requirements: 
  • Degree educated (or equivalent) with relevant project management qualification e.g. SAFe
