Designer

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design book covers from concept, through visual, to finished artwork from written design briefs
  • Design book layouts and typography, including occasional production of diagram and illustrations
  • Design marketing materials including leaflets, brochures, catalogues and display boards
  • Work with freelance illustrators and other design team members in implementing books designs
  • Provide final designs in required format for printing and production of books according to deadlines

Editorial Director (Humanities, Maths and Science)

Job responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and effective operational directives to the HMS Division based on acute understanding of market development and alignment with OUP mission goals and business objectives;
  • Interpret research results and collective intelligence generated among the HMS Division and other internal and external parties to develop publishing plans, formulate competitive strategies and design/proposal of winning products/services;
  • Maintain, update and enhance workflows, standard operating procedures (SOP), best practices, and quality assurance measures so that the best professional practices are employed to deliver products of the highest possible quality on time;

Job Responsibilities:

Regional Business Development Manager, Asia

As a member of the English Language Teaching (ELT) Asia team, you will lead, manage and execute the regional Business Development strategy and plan in Asia in order to optimize key account and new business opportunities in support of the region’s growth targets.
The successful candidate will:
  • Plan, direct and co-ordinate business development activity for the Asia region in order to ensure optimal procedures and delivering successful outcomes in pursuit of the company’s mission.
  • Identify major regional business development opportunities including with key accounts and Ministries of Education and plan a strategy to approach and develop relationships in order to maximise business opportunities.
  • Develop a pipeline of new key account customers and markets in order to build an effective framework for the delivery of successful outcomes. 
  • Develop and propose appropriate offers (in conjunction with central Key Accounts Operations team) for key accounts which align services to customer value and collaborate with local teams to deliver these services.  
  • Support the roll out of key account management training across the region and ensure best practices are communicated and adopted by local teams.
  • Work closely with the Partnerships and Innovations team to identify and recommend new educational technology business opportunities. 
  • Act as the regional voice for Asia to ensure relevant research is undertaken in relation to key account trends and opportunities and that market briefing papers are developed in conjunction with the central Key Accounts team to inform company’s current and future strategic offers to external partners. 
  • Lead cross-divisional special projects and strategic initiatives in the region such as collaboration with other divisions as required. 
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in all activities and act accordingly when required in order to uphold the highest standards of the company’s code of conduct.
Requirements: 
  • A university degree (or equivalent) with relevant qualification.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare sales and promotion plan with clear objectives, stretching but achievable targets, and appropriate resources allocation;

Senior Editor, Asia Education (1 Year Contract, Renewable)

Job responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the content development of components belonging to an extensive reading programme designed for use in multiple Asian markets,  ensuring timely and high quality delivery;
  • Review submissions from authors, collate feedback and ensure appropriate and timely integration of feedback into revised submissions;
  • Content/developmental editing of manuscripts, ensuring quality/ interestingness of content, alignment with language/level requirements and other guidelines;
  • Audio and video content creation-  compile scripts and work closely with production companies to ensure end product is developed to a high quality delivery and according to schedule;
