Account Executive

Job Responsibilities:
  • Collect school information and market intelligence;

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all stages of the production of English and/or Chinese teaching and learning materials in book, audio-visual or electronic form;

  • Ensure the teaching and learning materials are accurate and meet market needs and schedules, in order to achieve the policy and profit objectives set by management;

  • Prepare manuscript, including proof-reading, copy-editing, develop ideas and prepare briefs for illustrations of books and products;

  • Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth work progress and develop teacher network.

 

 Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Computer;

  • At least 2 years’ experience in editorial work for Editor;

  • Good knowledge about IT or teaching experience an advantage;

Customer Service Officer

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide general reception service including but not limited to handling incoming calls and greeting visitors;
  • Handle customer enquiries and complaints;
  • Manage daily operations of the centre, including but not limited to arranging the delivery of products and the redemption of gifts;
  • Provide high standard of services to our users including product and service solutions;

Regional Head of Publishing

Job Responsibilities:
1. Strategy and leadership
  • Devise publishing strategy for the Asia Education (AE) publishing function;
  • Develop a long-term regional publishing plan;
  • Demonstrate market-driven approach and in-depth knowledge of AE markets, education and textbook policy, pedagogical trends, and competitor movements;
  • Regular reviews against goals and objectives are conducted and corrective measures taken as appropriate.
2. Strategy and leadership
  • Winning publishing programme is realized and stakeholders engaged; creative front list established;
  • New opportunities and projects are identified, initiated, vigorously planned and developed;
  • Editorial maintenance of the backlist is actively monitored and reviewed;
  • All publications adhere to Oxford University Press quality standards and editorial guidelines.
3. Financial management
  • Budget management is controlled and on target, and necessary approvals obtained;
  • Drafts and reports are completed on time;
  • Amendments to budget are authorized and implemented as required;
  • Publishing proposals are completed with realistic figures;
4. Publishing operations
  • Delivery models, workflows, and processes are agreed and continually improved and streamlined.
5. Legal management
  • Partner and contributor agreements are negotiated and executed according to standard.
6. Staffing
  • Team management and leadership are effective so that objectives can be met;
  • Freelance pool is built, maintained and managed;
  • Support and training needs are regularly evaluated. Departmental training and development programmes are effectively organized, actively participated in, and contributed to;

  • A university degree in ELT-related discipline. Postgraduate degree will be preferred;

  • Conduct STEM training or workshops in local schools;

Job Requirements:

  • University degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Information Technology, Education or related disciplines;

  • At least 1 year’ experience in editorial work;

  • STEM-related teaching experience and video/animation production experience an advantage;

  • Basic knowledge of coding (say, Python, Scratch, JavaScript, HTML, App Inventor, GGB, etc.) and strong sense in latest edtech trends in AR, VR, AI, etc. are preferred;

  • Good organizational and communicative skills;

  • Able to work under pressure;
