Customer Service Manager

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of customer service practices that support both the OUP strategy and mission
  • Maintain expertise on market trends/practices to maximize engagement, long-term value and customer satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with Technology and the customer facing community to qualify and prioritize opportunities.  Collaborate with other product owners in the Sales & Marketing work stream to ensure successful outputs
  • Help manage support contact centers utilizing digital service channels including phone, email, self-service and live chat
  • Ensure a cost-effective service delivery while demonstrating OUP qualities and role modelling the behaviors of leadership.
  • Manage an environment where continuous improvement is encouraged and ensure recommendations for training, process and system improvements are identified and implemented leading to improvements in customer experience and/or efficiency
  • Develop, build and maintain relationships with peers, stakeholders and key customer decision to regularly review and communicate plans
  • Demonstrate successful Change Management skills and implementations, experience leading specialization initiatives/projects, expert analytical, problem solving and time.

Job Requirements:

Editor/Assistant Editor – Chinese Language Teaching (Secondary CLT)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist with planning, design and implementation and commissioning of new print and electronic publishing projects
  • Ensure project budget management is in control and on target
  • Establish and maintain professional network by liaising with authors, freelance contributors, teachers and academic consultants
  • Ensure the quality of the publications by supervising and reviewing all stages of subordinates’ work

Job Requirements:

Executive Editor/ Project Editor/ Editor/ Assistant Editor - English Language Teaching (Secondary ELT)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design and develop English Language Teaching (ELT) publications of the highest possible quality
  • Manage the editorial process to ensure all material is produced on time and to budget
  • Network with relevant professionals and associations in school visits, focus groups and meetings
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams in market research, promotion and sales activities
  • Collaborate with design, production and digital teams on publishing and digital/multimedia productions
 
Job Requirements:
  • A University degree, preferably in a field related to language and/or education
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Editorial experience in educational publishing or related experience in writing, content- and copy-editing is preferred
  • Knowledge of local English secondary school curriculum
  • Experience in teaching English as a foreign or second language will be an advantage
  • Experience in digital publishing is preferred

Editor (Early Childhood Education)

Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:
  • A degree in Applied Linguistics, Education or in a discipline related to English and Chinese Language Teaching;
  • Substantial educational publishing experiences;
  • Native level command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Positive and pro-active - a committed team player who could work under pressure;
  • Strong market sense, analytical skills, communication skills and organizational skills;
  • Solid knowledge in Early Childhood Education, teaching experiences and/or good knowledge in using IT for education will be an advantage. 

Editor / Assistant Editor (Humanities) [1-year contract]

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist in all stages of production of English and/or Chinese teaching and learning materials in book, audio-visual or electronic form;
  • Prepare manuscript, including proof-reading, copy-editing and prepare briefs for illustrations of books and products;
  • Ensure the teaching and learning materials are accurate and meet market needs and schedules;
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth work progress and develop teacher network.
 
Job Requirements:
  • University degree in Geography or Urban Studies;
  • Excellent command of written English and Chinese;
  • Good organizational and communicative skills;
  • Able to work under pressure;
  • Good knowledge of IT or teaching experience an advantage;
  • Solid experience in textbook editorial work is necessary for Editor.

Project Editor / Editor (Secondary Mathematics) [1-year contract, subject to renewal]

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare manuscript, proof-read, copy-editing and prepare illustrations briefs about Mathematics contents in both English and Chinese version;
  • Ensure the teaching and learning materials are accurate and meet market needs and schedules, in order to achieve the policy and profit objectives set by management;
  • Liaise with various departments to ensure smooth work progress and develop teacher network.

Job Requirements:
  • University degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Engineering;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in editorial work related to Mathematics;
  • Good knowledge about IT or teaching experience an advantage;
  • Excellent command of written English and Chinese;
  • Good organizational and communicative skills;
  • Fresh graduates will also be considered.

Project Editor / Editor / Assistant Editor (Science)

Job Responsibilities:

Education Consultant [Home Learning Consultant (Post-sales)]

Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as Members Experience Specialist and maintain good relationship with customers to promote retention and loyalty;
  • Provide periodic, responsive, empathetic product and educational support to customers through phone calls, emails, WhatsApp or face-to-face events;
  • Help customers plan and understand the best ways to utilize our products based on individual needs;
  • Resolve customer questions related to the products promptly and precisely;
  • Maximize customers’ satisfaction in order to drive referral and renewal business;
  • Collaborate closely with sales team, marketing team and editors to conduct training and provide learning resources to customers;

Marketing Assistant (one-year contract)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Executive and plan both online and offline events for teachers and students including but not limited to event logistics support and preparation;
  • Prepare marketing copy for printed and digital campaigns;
  • Utilize marketing tools to carry out strategic objectives;
  • Track, analyze and report performance on marketing campaigns;
  • Provide clerical support to the Marketing team.

Job Requirements:

Part-time Marketing Assistant (6-month contract)

Job Responsibilities:
  • Assist with promotional activities, including pre-event, event day and post event tasks;
  • Assist to organize market research;
  • Undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities;
  • Conduct market research and analyzing consumer surveys/ questionnaires;
  • Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories;
  • Work with various types of marketing technology platforms;

Job Requirements:
